Fuse in the power/data cable keep blowing

The fuse can be blowing due to a number of different reasons, including but not limited to: modified cables, cables exposed to moisture, defective device, defective power sources, etc.

If the fuse blows in the power/data cable, take the fuse to a local auto parts store to get a replacement fuse. Garmin does not recommend using a fuse with a higher amperage tolerance, as this can cause damage to the GPS device if exposed to more amperes than it was designed to withstand.
