Recovery Time Changing After a Workout

Recovery Time is a metric provided by many Garmin® devices. This metric provides a recommendation for the amount of time you should rest before doing another workout of the same intensity.

Since devices calculate Recovery Time for each activity, it is possible that a workout may have a shorter recovery time compared to an activity done the day before. There are many factors that affect recovery time, such as rest, nutrition, stress levels, and overall health.

For best results, it is beneficial to first go for several runs with your watch in order for the device to accurately learn your overall fitness level. Once this is established, subsequent recovery time results may be more accurate.
