Master Reset on Alpha T 20 and Alpha TT 25 Dog Collars

If the Alpha® T20 or Alpha® TT25 dog collar is failing to operate as expected, corrupt data may be the cause. Removing the collar from the Dog List, and then performing a master reset on the collar will reset the collar to factory settings and clear data, resolving these issues.

Performing a Master Reset

On your dog tracking handheld:

1. Remove the collar from the dog list. 
   • null
   • null
   • null
   • null

NOTE: For the Pro 550 Plus handheld you do not remove the dog from the handheld. 

On the dog collar:

1. Ensure the device is powered off.
2. Disassemble and remove any Y-splitter cable (the part that allows you to charge two devices at once).
3. Connect the charging clip to the collar.
4. Connect the USB cable to the collar.
5. Connect the USB cable to a power source (either a computer or an AC wall adapter).
6. Ensure collar light is active to confirm connection (solid red or green).
7. Firmly press the Power button 4 times within four seconds.
   NOTE: Pressing too slow or too fast may not work. You may have to try again.
8. Wait for light to turn green then red.
9. Disconnect the USB cable and charging clip from collar.

On your handheld: 

1. Re add the dog collar to your handheld. 
   • Pairing a Dog Tracking Handheld and Collar
   • Pairing a Tracking Collar to the Alpha 10

If the collar did not reset you may want to try the sequence again and ensure you are hearing the quiet tone after each button press. After the reset, it may be necessary to leave the device outside with a clear view of the sky for 20 minutes to acquire satellites.
