Updating a Garmin Dash Cam with the VIRB Mobile App

NOTE: The VIRB® Mobile app has been discontinued from the Google Play Store and is no longer available to download for Android devices.

The compatible Garmin Dash Cam software can be updated using the VIRB Mobile app. The app checks for updates automatically after the app is paired with the camera. It will display a message when an update is available. See the device's owner's manual for instructions to pair the Garmin Dash Cam with the VIRB Mobile app.

Touch Download and follow the on-screen instructions When an update is available.

To Update the Devices Manually:

1. Open the VIRB Mobile App

2. If using an iPhone, touch the down arrow icon

3. Touch the gear wheel icon

4. Touch Check for Updates

5. Touch Connect

6. Touch Download

7. Touch Accept

8. Allow the download to complete

9. Allow the update to send to the camera

10. Touch Restart Camera

11. Touch Connect if necessary

The VIRB Mobile app will then update the software on the Dash Cam device.
