The Varia Radar or Headlight Does Not Automatically Reconnect to the Varia App

WARNING! If the Varia RTL does not automatically reconnect within a period of 30 seconds after losing the device connection, or send data to the Varia app, we recommend that you stop riding and check the devices in a safe location. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.

The Varia™ app will indicate a device is paired with a green dot next to the device icon in the app. If the dot is grey, or there is a message saying "Bluetooth connection lost" the Varia is not connected to the app. Try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Turn the Varia off and back on using the power device key.

  • Turn your phone's Bluetooth off and back on.

  • Exit and enter the Varia app.

    • You can check the battery level when you turn the devices back on. 

  • Remove the Varia radar from the list of paired devices and pair it again.

NOTE: The Varia™ UT800 light and Varia™ RTL510 radar are not compatible with the Varia app.
