GHS 10 Handset Not Working When Plugged Into My VHF 200/300/300 AIS
This behavior is a common result of plugging the GHS 10 into a VHF radio while it is powered on. If this has occurred, simply cycling power should resolve the issue. To ensure success, the GHS should only be connected to the VHF while the radio is powered off.
If the behavior persists, then it is possible that it could be a result of a hardware fault. Doing one of the following should pinpoint which device has the problem:
- Plug the GHS 10 into a different, compatible VHF radio.
- Plug a different GHS 10 into the current VHF radio.
Once it can be properly determined which device is not working correctly, an RMA (Return Materials Authorization) can be created to repair or exchange the device. Please contact Product Support to set this up.
