Point Driver Error in XMap 8

If multiple versions of DeLorme® Topographic Data are connected to XMap® 8 desktop software you may receive the error below when opening the software.

Note: XMap Software has been discontinued. Support is now provided through documentation in the Support Center. XMap data format has not.

To Correct the Error

1. Close the XMap software.
   
   
2. Open the Control Panel of your computer.
   
   
3. Click Uninstall a program.
   
   
   
4. Select DeLorme XMap North America Topographic Data 2011 from the list of currently installed products.
   
   
   
5. Click Uninstall. 
   
   
   Note: If promted to confirm the uninstall, click Yes. 
   
   
   
6. If the User Account Control window displays, click Yes. 
   
   
   
7. After the uninstallation completes open the XMap software to confirm the error does not appear.
