Importing Garmin Connect Activity Data into Garmin BaseCamp and Garmin VIRB Edit
Performance, activity, and wellness data files such as temperature, heart, cadence, speed, elevation, and distance can be exported from Garmin Connect into Garmin applications like BaseCamp™ and VIRB® Edit. Some third-party applications can also be used.
Activities Can Be Exported in Multiple Formats Including
Export Original
Export to TCX
Export to GPX
Export to Google Earth
Export Splits to CSV
The Export Original option will export the format received from the device originally. In most cases, and on newer devices, that format will be a .FIT format which can be imported to other Garmin applications including VIRB Edit. When looking at wellness data files, the only option provided is Export Original because the other formats require additional information like GPS data to be present to be used properly.

The selected activity data file (G-Metrix log) will now be imported and available in the G-Metrix / Data tab to be added to your video(s).
