Removing the Yellow Film on the Wave Guide on a GMR Open Array Radar

In the installation manual for the open array radars, there is a section called Mounting the Antenna in which it says to remove the protective cover from the pedestal wave guide.

This is referring to a piece of plastic that is on the Wave Guide to protect it from damage during shipping. The yellow film is not to be removed as it is a dust guard for the wave guide. If they do remove the guard it can be replaced with any 1.5 wide (or wider) 2 Mil Kapton tape.
