Adding or deleting a Bluetooth pairing with a Scala Rider Q2 headset and a zumo 350
To pair a Scala Rider Q2 with your Garmin zumo, follow the steps below. Before attempting the instructions, delete all the Bluetooth pairings from your mobile phone and zumo. Consult the phone's owner's manual for instructions to clear the Bluetooth pairings from the phone.
To delete the Bluetooth pairings from the zumo 350:
- Touch Settings
- Touch Bluetooth
- Touch Headset
- Touch the trash icon
- Select the headset to place a checkmark in the box
- Touch Delete
- Touch Yes
The Bluetooth pairings will now be removed.
Setting the Scala Rider Q2 to discoverable mode:
Put the Scala Rider Q2 headset into discoverable mode by turning on the headset. Press and hold the Control button until the headset flashes red and blue.
Using the zumo to search for your Scala Rider Q2:
- Touch Settings
- Touch Bluetooth
- Touch Scan for devices
- Touch OK
- If prompted to enter a passkey after the zumo finds the Q2, enter "0000"
You have now successfully paired the Q2 to your zumo.
Issues with Bluetooth can often be resolved by ensuring that the zumo has the latest device and Bluetooth software, using the Garmin Express application. See related contents.
Note: If the headset and zumo will not pair or if they keep disconnecting, the headset may not be compatible with the zumo. Currently, the headset should be compatible if it supports the hands-free profile and has a Bluetooth version of 1.1 or higher, although it cannot be guaranteed.
