Disabling or Confirming Parking Guard is Turned Off on a Garmin Dash Cam

See the steps below to disable the Parking Guard feature on a Garmin Dash Cam 47/57/67W, Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2, Garmin Dash Cam Live.

Using the Garmin Drive App to Disable and Visually Confirm the Parking Guard is Turned Off:

1. Open the Garmin Drive app 

2. Tap the paired compatible dash cam

3. Tap the settings gear icon in the upper right corner

4. Tap Parking Guard

5. Swipe left on the Enable slide button to turn it off

6. The Parking Guard options will disappear

If the Garmin Drive App is Not Paired, Follow these Steps Using the Buttons on the Garmin Dash Cam 47/57/67W and Garmin Dash Cam Live:

1. Select the Up arrow button on the Garmin Dash Cam 47/57/67W and Garmin Dash Cam Live
2. Select Parking Guard
3. Select Enable to the question "Enable Parking Guard to monitor your parked vehicle and alert you if an impact is detected?"
4. Select Settings to the message "This feature monitors your parked vehicle and alerts you if the camera detects an impact, while connected to power."
5. Select Enable

This effectively "unchecks" Enable and disables Parking Guard.

To modify Parking Guard for the Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2, it must be paired and managed from the Garmin Drive app on a compatible smartphone.
