Verify the Proxy Settings are Correct on a Computer

In order for Garmin applications to successfully communicate with the Garmin servers, it is important that the proxy settings are correct on the computer.

To Verify Proxy Settings:

Windows:

    1. Press the Windows key + R
    2. Type inetcpl.cpl
    3. Click OK
    4. Click the Connections tab
    5. Click LAN Settings
    6. Ensure that the box Automatically detect settings is checked
    7. Uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN (if checked)
    8. Click OK, then OK again

Mac OS X:

    1. Click the Apple icon
    2. Click System Preferences
    3. Click Network
    4. Click the Advanced button
    5. Click the Proxies tab
    6. Select the box Auto Proxy Discovery
    7. Click OK
    8. Click Apply

MacOS Ventura 13 and Newer:

    1. Click the Apple icon
    2. Click System Settings
    3. Click Network in the sidebar
    4. Click a network service
    5. Click Details
    6. Click Proxies (You may have to scroll down to see it)
    7. Put a checkmark in Auto proxy discovery 

These settings will help ensure that Garmin applications are able to communicate with the Garmin servers.
