Wikiloc Connect IQ App on the GPSMAP 66 and 67 Series

Wikiloc is a Connect IQ™ application available to many Garmin devices. What makes it unique for the GPSMAP® 66 series outdoor handheld is you get a 60-day free trial of the 'Send to your Garmin' feature. The trial starts once you enable the app on the device. Steps for this can be found below.

For more information on the Premium features and the other free features of the Wikiloc app, visit their website.

Additional information on the Wikiloc app can also be found at the Connect IQ store.

Enabling the Connect IQ Wikiloc App

Before using Wikiloc, the handheld must be paired with the Garmin Connect™ app on a mobile device. For steps, see - Pairing the GPSMAP Series with a Phone or Tablet.

The GPSMAP 66 series comes preloaded with the Wikiloc app, so it just needs to be enabled with the steps below:

  1. Press MENU twice to reach the main menu.
  2. Select Connect IQ.
  3. Select Wikiloc.

Follow the on-screen instructions to enable the feature and sign in to your Wikiloc account (or create one) when prompted in the Garmin Connect app.

Troubleshooting

If a downloaded trail is not available in Saved Tracks after following the above steps, or if it is unable to sync with Garmin Explore™ app, it may be that the trail is so long or complex that it exceeds the file limitations of the handheld or Garmin Explore app. In this case, you can manually export the trail from Wikiloc as a GPX file, then use a program like BaseCamp™ to break the trail up into smaller segments before importing them to the handheld or Garmin Explore app. For more details and steps, refer to the following support articles:
