Issues Downloading Connect IQ Items to a Compatible Outdoor Device

In order to add Connect IQ items, such as new apps, data fields, widgets, or watch faces to a compatible watch or handheld, the device must have the latest software installed. If the watch or handheld does not have the latest software, Connect IQ will instruct you that the device needs to be updated. Syncing your watch or handheld with Garmin Express will send any new updates to the device.

After the watch or handheld has received the latest update, it will need to be restarted for the update to complete. Wait for the watch or handheld to return to the watch face or home screen before trying to install the Connect IQ app again. If the update was successful, the Connect IQ app will now install.
