Scorecard History on My Approach Handheld Is Being Deleted
A recent change with the Garmin Express™ program will delete data on your Approach® golf handheld device to allow for enough space for course updates and other features. This same change deletes all scorecard files from the history folder any time the device is synced with the Garmin Express program. The scorecards will still sync into your account to be viewed in Garmin Connect™ or the Garmin Golf™ app.
Keeping Scorecards in the History of My Approach
If you prefer to keep the scorecards in the history of your device to view, you can use the Garmin Connect app on Android or iOS to sync the data into your account.
NOTE: The Approach G3, G5, and G6 golf handhelds can only sync scorecards through Garmin Express on a computer.
Preventing Garmin Express From Deleting Scorecards on My Approach
You can still use Garmin Express to update the software and course mapping on your Approach by not signing into Garmin Connect after adding the device. Click Next on the sign in page to prevent syncing the device with your account when Garmin Express software connects with your device.
If you already have the Approach device added in Garmin Express software, you can remove and add the device again to skip the Garmin Connect sign in. See - Adding and Removing Devices in Garmin Express.
