Shaping Points in BaseCamp

Shaping points are any position along a route that will not alert you when you arrive. Shaping points do not contain arrival time or distance between points information.

To make a point in a route a shaping point, follow the instructions below. 

Windows:

1. Right-click the route 

2. Click Open

3. Right-click a via point

4. Click Don't Alert on Arrival (shaping point)

Mac OSX:

1. Control-click the route 

2. Click Get Info

3. Control-click a via point

4. Click Don't Alert on Arrival (shaping point)

The shaping point will still be in the route but the alert information will not be given for this point.
