Garmin Dash Cam™ Mini, Garmin Dash Cam™ Mini 2, or Garmin Dash Cam™ Tandem has Incorrect Date and Time Stamp
Check the Following if the Videos have the Wrong Time or Date:
Make sure the Garmin Dash Cam is connected to the Garmin Drive app.
For instructions on connecting to the Garmin Drive app, see the owner’s manual for the Garmin Dash Cam.
Update the camera software.
Additionally, the time format being used on the Garmin Dash Cam can affect the time zone the camera is using for time stamps. It is recommended to check the time format being used via the Garmin Drive app.
To check the time format being used on your Garmin Dash Cam:
Open the Garmin Drive app.
Select the name of the Garmin Dash Cam being used.
Select settings.
Select units and time.
Select time format.
NOTE: UTC time or Coordinated Universal Time is an option in the time format settings. This option can have the time stamp differ by several minutes, or several hours depending on your location. This is due to the nature of UTC time being a current standard on time regulation used worldwide, similar to GMT or Greenwich Mean Time.
