If spectator messaging is enabled on your compatible watch, your LiveTrack recipients will be able to send you a message during your activity by opening the LiveTrack link they receive via email and selecting Send a Message.

Spectator Messaging Send Message

After a recipient selects Send a Message, they can fill in the form to send you a message. If they would like to send you an audio message using their own voice, they can select the microphone icon to switch from text to an audio message. Spectator Messaging Send Message Options

NOTE: Audio messages can only be created and sent to the Garmin watch if Bluetooth headphones are also actively paired and connected to the watch during the LiveTrack activity. Not all mobile browsers (including Safari) are compatible with audio messages. iOS devices are not compatible with audio messages and can only send text-based messages.

How Do Spectator Messages Appear on the Watch?

Messages that are received by the watch display for about 8 seconds before they are automatically dismissed. You can choose to dismiss or ignore the message on your own as well. If an audio message is received while you are playing music, the music volume will lower while the message is being broadcasted.
