Can inReach Contacts Be Blocked?

Care should be taken when initiating a conversation with an inReach® satellite communicator. Once a conversation has been started, inbound messages can only be blocked if you are using the Garmin Messenger™ app with a compatible inReach device.

If your inReach communicator is not compatible with the Garmin Messenger app, there is no way to block inbound messages once a conversation is established. For these devices, providing someone with your MapShare™ page is the best option to be able to end that association later. Your MapShare page settings can be adjusted to set a password for the page and/or change the page address if needed. For more details and instructions, see Related .
