Understanding the LED Colors on the Garmin Dash Cam Mini
The Garmin Dash Cam™ Mini has a status LED light below the large save button that displays different colors depending on the device status. Below is a breakdown of the different LED meanings. Some colors can have more than one meaning
- The device is booting.
- An update is being installed on software versions 7.10 and earlier.
- An update is being installed on software versions 7.30 and later.
- Video is recording.
- Audio is being recorded.
A photo or video is starting to be saved. The animation will play for 2 seconds.
An incident has been detected.
- Saving a photo or video is in progress. The animation will play for the duration of the save.
- Parking Mode.
The memory card is low on space or is under-performing.
The Saved or Event folders have too many video/image files saved. The device will keep saving videos as requested but will delete the oldest video to make room for the new one. To avoid this, remove or delete files by following steps in Deleting a Video or Photo Using Your Smartphone or Videos and Photos on Your Computer.
