Mandatory: For installations with the Integrated Standby System, this Service Bulletin must be accomplished within 6 months or the next scheduled service interval; whichever occurs first.

Optional: For all installations without the Integrated Standby System, this STC Service Bulletin may be incorporated at the owner’s discretion


PURPOSE:

G500(H)/G600/G700 TXi Main Software Version 3.50 contains the following changes:

New Features

  • Added support for 100Mb/s database sync while on-ground
  • Added Aircraft Reports containing system and database information that can be exported to an SD card
  • Added support for Fly Over waypoint depiction in flight plans
  • Added support for enhanced SVT™ terrain and runway depiction
  • Added support for Dual-Cue flight director depiction

Main Software Version 3.50 Software Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the visibility field would not be populated for METARs with fractions in the text
  • Fixed an issue where LAT/LON labels could be hidden while LAT/LON lines are visible
  • Fixed an issue where the GSR 56 would display Request Unsuccessful if the default coverage region settings are in use
  • Fixed an issue where pressing the PTT button could hide the startup splash screen
  • Fixed an issue where momentary loss of GEA™ communication would trigger multiple maintenance log entries for GEA dependent functions
  • Fixed an issue where the Display Head setting for ARINC 708 WX Radar would not be saved as part of an SD save, and would not be recorded in the configuration summary
  • Fixed an issue where the EIS tab in the configuration summary would cause the unit to reset in some installs
  • Fixed an issue where analog flight directors would not display after making configuration changes
  • Fixed an issue where autoslew could occur past the missed approach point for systems installed with a GNS™ navigator
  • Fixed an issue where certain radar altimeters could not complete their test procedure because the RA display was being invalidated during the test
  • Fixed an issue where Primary EGT indications would not highlight in colored marking ranges on the bar graph indicator
  • Fixed an issue where a knob press would not register in some situations
  • Fixed an issue where an EIS caution could not be acknowledged using the on-screen button
  • Fixed an issue where the knob could be used to leave the Database Update page during a Database Update

GSU 75/GRS 79 AHRS Version 2.12 Fixes

  • Corrected some Mag Var and GPS aiding issues
  • Fixed AHRS Reset on Takeoff issue described in Garmin Service Alert 22033

General Updates

  • Added support for Digitally Signed Databases
  • The Baro value will now flash briefly if the Baro setting has been changed by an external unit
  • The low-speed red arc on the airspeed indicator is now hidden while on-ground
  • Heading units (True, Magnetic) will now synchronize with an interfaced GI-275
  • The MAG ANOM annunciation is now configurable between yellow, white, and disabled
  • The database sync in progress UI has been improved
  • The database source selection list will now show the Connext® icon if the database source is over Connext
  • Engine power readouts will now only update once per second
  • PC-12 aircraft with fuel quantity displayed on the EIS will now allow for fuel temperature to be displayed as a user-selectable option
  • Adjusted the rounding for the fuel computer to match fuel quantity gauge rounding
  • Combined PFD/EIS displays will no longer automatically acknowledge engine alerts after 10 seconds
  • Added support for a SRL Computer discrete input
  • Moved EIS gauge advanced settings to their own section in the system summary
  • The Auto Start condition lever cutoff motor duration setting has been added to the system summary
  • Discrete input states are now color coded on diagnostics pages
  • GEA port configuration options will now display the GEA connector pins in more locations
  • The exceedance advisory message will now specify the number of unacknowledged exceedances needing review
  • The fuel computer will now default to the same units as a configured fuel quantity gauge
  • The startup splash screen will now display CONFIGURATION MODE if the unit is booting into configuration mode.
  • GFC 600H Servo Coupled Status annunciation will no longer display ATT

NOTE
Database sync routing is affected by this change. Systems with GTN (v6.72 or earlier) or GPS 175/GNC® 355/GNX™ 375 (v3.20 or earlier) interfaced to G500(H)/G600/G700 TXi (v3.50 or later) or GI 275 (v2.60 or later) no longer support database sync. Databases will need to be loaded onto each GTN and GPS 175/GNC 355/GNX 375 unit. This limitation will be fixed in future GTN and GPS 175/GNC 355/GNX 375 software versions.


WARRANTY INFORMATION:

For installations with the Integrated Standby System, this modification is warranty reimbursable with a deadline of July 31, 2023.

For all installations without the Integrated Standby System, this modification is not warranty reimbursable.
