Pairing an Outdoor or Dog Training Handheld with an Additional Phone or Tablet

Garmin outdoor and dog training handheld models with Bluetooth connectivity can only maintain one phone or tablet connection at a time. Before pairing a handheld with a new Android or iOS device, you will first need to unpair the mobile device that had previously been paired to the handheld using the instructions below.

NOTE: On some Garmin handhelds, you may also need to select the name of the phone or tablet or Forget Phone from the Bluetooth settings of the handheld before you will be able to pair to a new mobile device. For more details on this step and how to pair, refer to Pairing a Smartphone in your owner's manual.

Unpairing from an Android Device

1. Open Settings on your Android device.
2. Select Bluetooth or Connected Devices.
3. Select the Handheld Device or select .
4. Select Unpair.

Unpairing from an iOS Device

1. Open Settings on your iOS device.
2. Select Bluetooth.
3. Select the  next to the handheld device.
4. Select Forget this Device.
