How Pedestrian Mode is used with the nuvi 1000 series or the nuvi 1690

To enable Pedestrian Mode:

1. Touch Tools
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch System
4. Touch the box under Usage Mode
5. Touch Pedestrian
6. Touch OK

The device will now be in Pedestrian Mode.

The following will apply to your nuvi while in this mode:

• The device will not recalculate a route like it does in Automobile Mode.
• The vehicle icon is a blue dot.
• There are no audible voice commands while in Pedestrian Mode.
• While navigating to a location in Pedestrian Mode, you will need to manually touch the directional arrows on the navigational bar on the top of the screen to view the turn-by-turn directions to your destination.
