"There was an error reading from the device at CurrentTrackLog.GPX" in BaseCamp for Mac when Connecting the BMW Motorrad Navigator V
The error "There was an error reading the device at CurrentTrackLog.GPX" can occur, followed by automatic device ejection, when there is corruption in the device's log files.
This happens when BaseCamp for Mac tries to read the corrupted files. To resolve this issue the files must be removed from the device.
To clear the log files:
- Connect the device to the Mac
- Open the Garmin drive
- Open the GPX folder
- Move the CurrentTrackLog and ActiveLog files to the trash
- Empty the Mac trash
- Eject the device and boot to Warning screen
- Reconnect the device to the computer and wait for the device to be recognized
- Open BaseCamp and allow it read the device
