Changing the Language on the Montana 700 Series

If you accidentally selected the wrong language on your Montana® handheld, you can change it to the correct language within the settings. Steps for this process are below. 

Changing the Language

Pictures are included in the steps because even though the wording may be unreadable and your icons may be in different places, the icons themselves look the same.

1. Select  to reach the Main Menu
   
   
   
2. Select Setup
   
   
   
3. Select System
   
   
   
4. For steps 4-5, there are no icons but the placement of each option is the same. Select Language
   
   
   
5. Select Text Language
   
   
   
6. Select the desired language from the list
   

The text should now be in the selected language.

You can also change the Voice Language from the Language menu. This setting changes spoken street names and directions, with the appropriate routable map and speaker mount.
