I Am Getting a Network Error When Connecting My Fitness Device to My Wi-Fi Network

If you are seeing a "Network error: Try again later" message on a Garmin device when attempting to connect to a previously configured Wi-Fi network, the error typically indicate that the configured Wi-Fi network does not support the proper network requirements.

Most manufacturers of wireless routers and Access Points (A.P.) that offer 802.11n or later wireless standards also enable backwards compatibility support for 802.11g devices like the Forerunner 620. Verify that the wireless router or A.P. supports 802.11g connected devices, if you do not know how to determine the compatibility with 802.11g devices, please contact the manufacturer for assistance in identifying the specifications of your wireless router or A.P.

After the wireless router or A.P. has been enabled to support 802.11g devices, the Garmin device will connect successfully.

Refer to the Owner's Manual to determine if your device has the ability to transfer data to Garmin Connect via Wi-Fi.
