Map Data Is Not Available on a Vieo Series Infotainment System

If the message Map data is not available appears, non-major roads no longer appear on the map, or driving directions appear as a straight dashed line on a Vieo series Infotainment system, the maps may need to be manually re-enabled. 

  1. From the home screen, select the Android Apps Apps icon
    Vieo Select Apps

  2. Select Tools
    Vieo Select Tools

  3. Scroll down and select Settings

  4. Select Navigation

  5. Select Map and Vehicle
    Vieo Select Map and Vehicle

  6. Scroll down and select myMaps
    Vieo Select myMaps

  7. Check that all boxes are selected
    Vieo myMaps

If the issue persists while all boxes are selected, or some/all of these items are not listed, the map will need to be reinstalled using Garmin Express. If you have not used Garmin Express before, see Registering my New or Exchanged Device Using Garmin Express before continuing.

If Garmin Express displays Map Update Available or Updates Available, select Install or Install All and test the device when done. Otherwise:

  1. In Garmin Express select Map Details

  3. Select Reinstall Map

  4. Accept the Terms and Conditions

  5. Select Continue
    Vieo Garmin Express Important Notes Before We Begin

Garmin Express will now begin reinstalling the map to your remote. This process can take several hours due to the large file size of the maps. When the installation is finished, the device will have detailed maps again.
