Updating a Garmin Marine CHartplotter with the AC/PC serial connection cable

Garmin does offer a cable that will allow a Garmin Marine Chartplotter/Sounder to be connected to both an AC outlet and a PC using a serial connection.

A software update CAN NOT be installed on a chartplotter/sounder that is connected to the computer with the AC/PC serial power cable if the device can accept a Garmin Data Card.
