Using Practice Balls With Garmin Golf Radar Products
Garmin golf products that use radar to determine golf metrics, such as club head speed, launch angle, and more, should be used with a regulation golf ball to receive the most accurate measurements from the radar.
Using plastic, foam, or other types of limited flight golf balls can lead to inconsistent, incorrect, or no metrics being displayed by the radar. Limited flight golf balls generally will have a stripe around their center and display "Range" or "Practice." These types of balls will normally fly anywhere from 60-80 percent of the distance of a regular golf ball.
