Pairing a GPSMAP 64 Series with the Garmin Connect App

The GPSMAP 64 series can be paired with several compatible smartphones or tablets. Phone compatibility information can be found here.

Pairing enables the following Bluetooth-connected features:

• LiveTrack - Allows friends and family to follow your activities in real-time. This requires a data connection on the phone or tablet. For more information and steps, see Related
• Smart Notifications - Displays phone and message notifications from the connected phone or tablet

Note: The GPSMAP 64 does not sync activity data through Garmin Connect Mobile.

Pairing with the Garmin Connect App

Before proceeding with the pairing, perform the following:

• Download the Garmin Connect App to the phone or tablet, from either the App Store or Play Store
• Place the phone or tablet within 10ft (3m) of the GPSMAP 64 series
• Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on the phone or tablet (Refer to the manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance, if needed)

1. 1. On the GPSMAP 64 series, press Menu twice to reach the Main Menu
   2. Select Setup
   3. Select Bluetooth
   4. Select Pair Mobile Device
   5. On the phone or tablet, open the Garmin Connect App
   6. Access the menu
      • iOS: Select from the bottom right corner
      • Android: Select from the upper left corner
   7. Select Garmin Devices
   8. Select Add Device
   9. Select Browse all compatible devices
   10. Select GPSMAP
   11. Select the correct model from the list
       
   12. Type in the Passkey displayed on the GPSMAP and confirm the pairing request
   13. Press Done when the pairing complete message appears

Once paired, whenever the GPSMAP 64 series is powered on and within range of the paired phone or tablet, it will automatically connect to it.
