Installing, Removing and Reinstalling Maps to your Alpha 200 Plus or Alpha 300 Series

Installing Maps to Alpha® 200 Plus, Alpha® 300, or Alpha® 300i Dog Tracking Handheld

You can install maps to your Alpha 200 Plus, Alpha 300, or Alpha 300i handheld over Wi-Fi or through Garmin Express™ program. If having adequate storage space for the maps selected is a concern the Garmin Express program may be the preferred option as it also provides a graphical representation of the storage space used by the installed maps.

Installing Maps via Wi-Fi

1. Select Manage Maps
2. Select TopoActive Maps
3. If you have an SD card installed you can select , otherwise continue
   • Storage Location
   • Select Internal or SD Card
     
4. Select a map you would like to download 
   • Depending on the size of the map you may encounter an error stating Additional disk space is needed to download this map region, to continue you will need to insert an SD Card

Installing Maps via the Garmin Express Program

1. Open the Garmin Express program
2. Plug in your Alpha handheld
3. Select your Alpha from the list of devices in the Garmin Express program
4. Select Manage Maps

5. Select My Maps or Removable Storage to determine where you would like the map to be saved
6. Select the map you wish to download
7. Select Apply Changes

Removing Maps on your Alpha 200 Plus, Alpha 300, or Alpha 300i Dog Tracking Handheld

You can remove maps on your Alpha 300 or Alpha 300i handheld via Wi-Fi or Garmin Express.

Removing Maps via Wi-Fi

1. Select Map Manager
2. Select the map you want to remove 
3. Select 
4. Select Remove

Removing Maps via the Garmin Express Program

1. Open the Garmin Express program
2. Plug in your Alpha handheld
3. Select your Alpha from the list of devices in the Garmin Express program
4. Select Manage Maps

5. Select My Maps or Removable Storage depending on where your current map is saved
6. Select the map you wish to remove by unchecking the box.
7. Select Apply Changes
