Using the Goals Feature in Garmin Connect

Goals are targets you set to help you achieve a short term objective. For example, if you set a target to run for 10 hours over the next week, your Garmin device will keep track of how much you actually ran. You can then see your performance against your goal on your Garmin Connect™ account or by viewing the activity history on the watch and comparing that to your goal in Garmin Connect.

NOTE: Goals are only visible on the Garmin Connect website.

To Get Started:

Select the Goals button from the left-hand navigation menu on Garmin Connect: black button with the word Goals on it

From here you can create a Running, Cycling, Swimming, or Custom goal. Each goal can be configured in several different ways. For example a distance goal over a set time period or total time goal using a specific activity profile. Your Garmin device will keep track of your recorded activities and you will be able to check back on Garmin Connect to see your progress for each goal you create.

NOTE: If you create a Custom goal and your progress does not appear to be updating, you may need to change the activity type for the goal to make it less specific (e.g. Cycling instead of Road Cycling).
