COMPLIANCE:
Recommended: Compliance with TSO Service Bulletin 23084 is recommended for aircraft using GTN Xi TAWS-A with Main Software Version 20.10 through 20.31.
For all other installations this service bulletin is optional.
DOCUMENTATION CONSIDERATIONS:
No new pilot documents are provided with this Service Bulletin.
PURPOSE:
GTN Xi Series Main Software Version 20.32 fixed an issue described in Garmin Service Advisory 23085 where TAWS-A enabled GTN Xi units will not generate glideslope deviation alerts.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
For TAWS-A enabled GTN Xi installations with Main Software Versions 20.10 through 20.31, this modification is warranty reimbursable with a deadline of February 29, 2024.
For all other installations this service bulletin is not warranty reimbursable.
