How to find the Unit ID, Serial Number or Part Number on a Garmin® Marine Device
When contacting Garmin® Marine Product Support, the UNIT ID or serial number may be needed. For the best possible support experience, Registering Garmin Devices and Charts is advised. The UNIT ID or serial number provide Garmin Marine Product Support with information specific to your manufactured device. Serial numbers are physically located on the device. If the device is on the vessel, the box the device came in may also have a sticker that has the serial number on it. In some instances, the UNIT ID may be more accessible. Most devices with a display will have a UNIT ID programmed in that is accessible via the menus of the device.

NOTE: VHF/AIS radios, certain autopilot pumps and components, etc. may not allow for registration to a Garmin account (done via ActiveCaptain™ or Garmin Express™; see Related Content below), or pull-up when searched for in certain Garmin® applications used by Product Support. |
Garmin accessories such as extension cables, power cables, various network cables etc. do not have a serial number, and will also not have a UNIT ID. In such cases, a Garmin Part Number may be on the product tag or somewhere on the product itself; some Garmin parts may not have a visible part number; in which case Garmin Product Support . Unlike UNIT ID numbers and serial numbers, part numbers are not unique (eg. mounts, protective covers all have the same part number and there is no way to know which specific product was manufactured or what device it was specifically included with).
