Adjusting the Volume on the Montana 700 Series

If your Montana® 700 series handheld is connected to a headset or speaker mount, it will produce sound for things like alerts, button presses, proximity alarms and directions.

To customize and adjust the volume of these tones, follow the steps below.

Customizing Tones

1. Select to access the main menu.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select Tones.
   • Select Tones to enable/disable all tones.
   • Select Tones Output to change the output preference.
   • Select any of the other options listed here to set specific tones for different audible types.

Adjusting Volume

NOTE: The volume option only appears when connected to a compatible speaker mount. 

1. Connect the device to a headset or speaker mount.
2. Tap the Power Button once or swipe down from the top of the screen to access the status page.
3. Use the volume slider to adjust the volume level.
