How to Perform a Touchscreen Calibration on a StreetPilot Device
If the touchscreen on a StreetPilot is off or not responding, it may need to be calibrated. For steps on how to perform a touchscreen calibration, click on your device listed below:
- StreetPilot c300 series
- StreetPilot c500 series
- StreetPilot 2600 series
- StreetPilot 2700 series
- StreetPilot 2800 series
- StreetPilot 7000 series
StreetPilot c310, c330, c340, c510, c530, c550, c580
- Begin with the device turned off and unplugged from a power source
- Power the device on and continue to hold the power button for 1 minute
- Release the power button when the screen displays "Press Dot"
- Accurately touch the dots as they appear
- Use a stylus or pencil eraser to accurately touch the dot
- Touch OK when the "Calibration Complete" appears
The touchscreen is now calibrated. Repeat the above steps as needed.
StreetPilot 2610, 2620, 2650, 2660
- Power the StreetPilot on
- Touch the Menu button
- Touch Display
- Press the Find button
- Press the Find button a second time.
- The screen will display crosshairs with a dot at the intersecting point
- The screen will display crosshairs with a dot at the intersecting point
- Touch the dot
- Use a stylus or pencil eraser to accurately touch the dot
- Touch OK when the "Calibration Complete" appears
- If the device indicates that the calibration has failed, perform the process again
The touchscreen is now calibrated. Repeat the above steps as needed.
StreetPilot 2720, 2730, 2820, 7200, 7500
- Power the StreetPilot on
- Touch Settings from the main menu
- Touch Screen
- Touch Calibrate Touch Screen
- Touch the dot
- Use a stylus or pencil eraser to accurately touch the dot
- Touch OK when the "Calibration Complete" appears
- If the touchscreen is still not responding, you may use the alphanumeric remote that came with your device to navigate through the menus
The touchscreen is now calibrated. Repeat the above steps as needed.
