GHP 10 Autopilot error log messages

At times, certain conditions can cause an error to occur that never actually appears on the GHC 10. These errors are saved to the system error log, but are not considered fatal. As stated before, no message will appear on the GHC 10 display unless the system is in diagnostic mode.

Below is a list of non-fatal error messages that can appear in your system error log:

  • ECU Not Present - The CCU is not receiving rudder messages from the ECU.
  • ECU Lost - Either the CCU to ECU link was broken, the ECU is locked up (solid green or red LED), or the ECU has reset and is in boot block mode (flashing red LED).
  • ECU No Update - The CCU failed to update the ECU software (checksum verification failed).
  • Error Communicating with ECU - The CCU to ECU link failed during the ECU software update.
  • Pump Encoder Error - The pump encoder is not functioning or not connected.
  • ECU Voltage Low - This usually indicates a sagging supply voltage from insufficient supply power or heavy hydraulic loading.
  • ECU Voltage Has Dropped Rapidly - This usually indicates that the ECU current protection tripped.
  • Rudder Rate is Invalid - The autopilot has calculated a desired rudder rate outside of the valid range. This is likely a tuning or sensor issue.
  • Rudder Rate is Not a Number - The autopilot has calculated a rudder rate that is not a number.
  • Internal Library Error - The autopilot control law library has returned an error.
  • Event Overflow - An internal event produced a result outside of the valid range.
  • GHC Comm Issue - The GHC 10 has logged an internal communication issue.
  • Miscellaneous Error - All other un-categorized logged errors.
