(2023) Service Advisory 2185 Rev B: Abort Approach

PRODUCTS AFFECTED:

GTN 625/635/650/725/750 products with main software version 6.30 and later are affected.

G900X, G950, G950NXi, G1000, G1000NXi, G2000, G3000, and G5000 products with GDU software version 21.00 and later without baro approach support are also affected.

ISSUE:

Loading a GPS-based approach before the system has determined a valid GPS position may result in the system aborting the approach.

ACTION:

Before loading a GPS-based approach (indicated as LNAV-only on the selection page) make sure the VFOM (Vertical Figure of Merit) value on the GPS Status page is less than 106 feet.

RESOLUTION:

This issue has been fixed in GTN Main Software Version 6.73. Refer to Garmin TSO Service Bulletin 23065.
