Phone Book Missing on a zūmo XT2 GPS navigator

Your zūmo® XT2 GPS navigator may not have access to your phone contacts if contact details are missing when receiving an incoming phone call. Choose your operating system below for instructions to allow access:


Android Instructions

To Resolve This Issue, "Forget" the Device in the Tread® App

  1. Open the Tread App
  2. Touch the Menu Bars in the top left
  3. Touch Settings
  4. Touch the device name
  5. Touch Forget Device

It is now Necessary to "Forget" the Device in the Phone's Bluetooth Settings:

  1. Open the Settings menu on the phone
  2. Touch Connections (some phones skip this step)
  3. Touch Bluetooth
  4. Touch the gear icon next to your listed Garmin device
    • On some Android phones, select the name of the listed Garmin Device instead.
  5. Touch Forget or Unpair

Once the Pairing History is Cleared a Reset on the Device is Necessary:

  1. Touch Settings
  2. Touch Device
  3. Touch Reset
  4. Touch Reset Default Settings
  5. Touch Yes
  6. Choose your Country
  7. Touch OK
  8. Choose your Language
  9. Touch OK
  10. Touch Accept

When the device shows "Connect to the Garmin Tread Mobile App" touch on Connect Now.

Next, Open the Tread App and Follow These Steps:

  1. Touch Navigation Device
  2. Touch Allow when prompted to Allow Access to contacts, phone book, or call history. (this step is usually missed)
  3. Complete remaining prompts

iOS Instructions

On the iPhone:

  • Open the phone's Settings menu
  • Touch Bluetooth
  • Touch the circle 'i' icon to the right of the BT device name
  • Swipe right next to Sync Contacts to enable them

The device will now have access to the contacts on your phone. It may take some time for the phone book information to transfer and be visible on the device.
