How Do I Restart My Garmin Device?
NOTE: vívofit® owners can skip this step of the troubleshooting process.
I Have a Watch with Buttons
The power button for most watches is the same button that controls the backlight, and often features the following icon: Press to turn off, press again to turn on.
Some watches feature a controls menu when you press and hold the power button. Select the icon from the screen to shut the watch off. Press the same button to turn the watch back on.
Return to the Garmin Connect™ app to attempt the pairing process again.
I Have a Watch Without Buttons
To restart watches without a power button: Connect to power with the charging cable, then disconnect. Once restarted, retry pairing in the Garmin Connect app.
I Have a Different Device
Refer to the Device Overview section of your owner's manual to locate the power button. Sensors such as heart rate monitors, power meter pedals, etc. will not have a power button so you can skip this troubleshooting step.
