Replacing the Fuse in a Garmin Backup Camera Transmitter Cable
A fuse is used in Garmin BC 20, BC 30, BC 35 and BC 50 series backup camera transmitter cables.
Fuse Specs:
- BC 20, BC 30 and BC 35:
- 500mA 250V, fast-blow fuse,
- 6.3x32 (6.3 mm in diameter and 32 mm in length)
- BC 50 Series:
- 2A 250V, fast-blow fuse,
- 6.3x32 (6.3 mm in diameter and 32 mm in length)
To Remove the Fuse:
1. Push the ends of the fuse holder towards each other and twist
2. Pull the two ends apart
3. Remove the fuse from the assembly
If the interior of the fuse is blackened, burned, or the filament inside is broken, the fuse is blown and will need to be replaced. If you are unable to tell if the fuse is blown, it can also be checked using a multimeter or continuity tester, if you have one. Garmin does not sell replacement fuses, but they can be obtained from most electronics or automotive service stores.
To Replace the Fuse:
1. Insert the fuse back into the fuse assembly
2. Push the ends of the fuse assembly together and twist until they lock together
