Deleting Smart Notifications From an Approach

When some Approach® golf devices are paired to a smartphone it is possible to receive Smart Notifications from the phone (phone calls, text messages, emails, and app alerts, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) on the unit.

After viewing the notifications they will no longer show up as active alerts but they cannot be deleted through the Approach unit. Any and all notifications must be deleted from the phone itself. Once the notification has been deleted from the phone, it will no longer appear on the Garmin device at all. Please consult the manual for your cellular phone to receive specific instructions about removing and managing notifications. To help effectively manage your communications, it is recommended to adjust the notification settings on a per-app basis. For example, it may be beneficial to disable notifications for games and unused apps.
