Understanding Track Information on the Alpha 200 Plus and Alpha 300 Series
The Alpha® 200 Plus and Alpha® 300 series dog tracking handhelds record three different tracks. Handheld track, Dog Tracks, and Contact tracks. With all three of these you can find useful information such as track, time, and distance covered. To see what track information is available for each type of track, use the following steps.
Handheld Tracks
To access handheld track information, use the following steps:
- From the Main Menu, touch Track Manager
- Select My Track
- You will see 4 icons on the top of screen:

and you will have the option to start or stop tracking, save, or discard the current track.
- Select
and you will have the option to change track color, show or hide the track from the map. You will also see track information like time, track distance, area, number of track points, and more.

and you will see the handheld track on the map.

and you will see current elevation, total ascent, and a graph of your elevation gain.

Dog Tracks
To access dog track information, use the following steps:
- From the Main Menu, touch Track Manager
- Select Dog Tracks
- Select the dog that you wish to view track information for
- You will see 3 icons on the top of the screen:

and you will see the dog information such as Id number, track and control code, etc.
- Select
and you will see distance the dog is from the handheld, the distance the dog has traveled, the average speed of the dog, and the time of the track.

Contact Tracks
To access contact track information, use the following steps:
- From the Main Menu, touch Track Manager
- Select Contact Tracks
- Select the dog that you wish to view track information for
- You will see 3 icons on the top of the screen:

and you will see the contact information such as Id number update rate, etc.

and you will see distance the contact is from the handheld, the distance the contact has traveled, the average speed of the contact, and the time of the track.
