VIRB / VIRB Elite video output while recording
VIRB provides multiple ways to view video outside of the viewfinder of the device. The Audio-Video Cable or an HDMI-to-micro-HDMI cable allows the VIRB to output video to an external display. This allows viewing of recorded clips without having to transfer the data to a computer.
When the Audio-Video Cable is connected, the device will prompt whether to output video. Selecting "Yes" will place the VIRB in playback mode. If connecting through HDMI, the device will automatically enter playback mode. While in this mode, the VIRB will only play existing video and will be unable to record. The VIRB will not stream live video for viewing through either cable option.
To exit playback mode, disconnect the cable.
When connecting to a computer is not possible, utilizing video output on the VIRB can provide additional viewing options that provide an enhanced viewing experience.
