Initiating and Navigating to an Emergency Alert

With an Alpha® dog tracking handheld, you can send an emergency alert via VHF MURS radio transmission to a Contact in your Tracked Devices list when you need immediate assistance and if you are away from your group/contacts.

This feature is separate from and unrelated to the dedicated SOS feature that uses inReach® technology on the Alpha 200i. It also requires that manual pairing of the handhelds be done before you get out in the field. Adding/Pairing with your Contacts has to be done during setup to ensure contact tracking is turned on (Active). See Related Contact for more information about Adding Contacts.
