Open Garmin Express on a personal computer.
Connect your Edge device to your computer using the charging cable.
Select your Edge device.

Select Map Options.
Map Options is only available if the maps on the device are up-to-date. If there is a new update available, you will instead have the option to Install All.
Select Reinstall Map.
Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Select Continue.
If the device does not have enough space for the update, you may be prompted to use a microSD memory card. If needed, Garmin recommends a class 4 to class 10 card no larger than 32 GB.

Verifying the Maps Installed on a Garmin Edge Device
Edge devices compatible with mapping support a variety of map products. To check the map version(s) installed on your Edge device, refer to the "Map Information" section of your owner's manual. The Map Information screen will typically list a standard "basemap" followed by descriptions for any detailed maps that have been installed.

Garmin Express Instructions
Open Garmin Express on a personal computer.
Connect your Edge device to your computer using the charging cable.
Select your Edge device.
If you have not yet added your Edge device to Garmin Express, see: Adding and Removing Devices in Garmin Express.
Select Map Details (will be Manage Maps for select models).
Map Details or Manage Maps is only available if the maps on the device are up-to-date. If there is a new update available, you will instead have the option to Install All.
Installed maps will appear beneath Map Options.
If using an Edge with the Manage Maps Feature any maps installed will have a checkmark next to them.
How Can I Purchase Additional Maps?
If you want to purchase additional maps for your Edge device, shop Cycling Maps on Garmin.com. When viewing available maps, be sure to check the Compatible Devices tab to ensure the map is compatible with your Edge. What Can I Do if a Map Is Missing From My Edge?
If you have recently attempted to install a map and do not see it on your Edge device, check the following:
Does Your Edge Device Have a Memory Card?
If a memory card was used to update the device previously, it may be necessary to format the inserted memory card with the steps found in Formatting a microSD/SD Memory Card.
Is Garmin Express up to Date?
Ensure Garmin Express is up-to-date with the steps found in Updating the Garmin Express Software.
Reinstall the Map
Select one of the options below to reveal detailed instructions for reinstalling a map.
