Pairing the quatix 5 or 6 to a Garmin Chartplotter

The quatix 5 can display up to 3 data fields per page and up to 4 pages of data.

To pair the quatix 5 with a compatible chartplotter:

1. 1. Bring the Garmin watch within range (3 meters) of the chartplotter

   2. From the watch clock screen of quatix 5, press the START button.

   3. Select Boat Data

      • Note: If the watch is connected to a chartplotter and you would like to connect to a different chartplotter, open the Boat Data screen, hold the Menu button, then select Pair new

      
      

   4. On the chartplotter, select Communications

   5. Select Wireless Devices

   6. Select Connect IQ Apps
   7. Select Boat Data 
   8. Select Enable
   9. Select Connection. The chartplotter will search for and connect to the quatix 5
   10. If the code shown on the chartplotter matches the one shown on the watch, select Yes to complete the pairing process.

After the devices pair, they automatically will connect when they are turned on and within range.

The quatix 6 can display up to 3 data fields per page and up to 6 pages of data.

To pair the quatix 6 with a compatible chartplotter:

1. 1. Bring the Garmin watch within range (3 meters) of the chartplotter

   2. From the watch clock screen of quatix 6, press the MOB button.

   3. Select Boat Data

   4. Press the MOB button

      • Note: If the watch is already connected to a chartplotter and you would like to connect to a different chartplotter, open the Boat Data screen, hold the Menu button, then select Pair new

   5. On the chartplotter, select Communications

   6. Select Wireless Devices

   7. Select Connect IQ Apps
   8. Select Boat Data 
   9. Select Enable
   10. Select Connection. The chartplotter will search for and connect to the quatix 6
   11. If the code shown on the chartplotter matches the one shown on the watch, select Yes to complete the pairing process.

After the devices pair, they automatically will connect when they are turned on and within range.
