Travel History on the Alpha XL

The Alpha® XL dog tracking navigator can record and display different tracks on the map.

Travel History is the light blue line left behind the vehicle when traveling (the breadcrumb line on the map).
Dog Tracks Show up as lines with corresponding dog colors and icons showing where they have been.
Other Handhelds (Contact Tracks) show hunting partners track lines.

Managing Various track functions can be different for each type of track. The information below is specific to the travel history on the Alpha XL. See the Related Content for instructions on managing either of the other type of track.

Clearing Travel History

To clear the travel history from the map.

Select Settings.
Select Device.
Select Reset.
Select Clear Travel History.
Select Yes to confirm.

Hiding Travel History

To hide your travel history

Select Map.
Touch the Map Layers Icon .
Select Layers.
Select Unsaved Tracks to uncheck.

Saving Travel History

If you would like to save the current travel log to review later or revisit, from the main menu.

Select Saved.
Select the filter next to the magnifying glass.
Select Unsaved tracks.
Select the track to save. (Depending on stops, the track can show as multiple tracks).
Select the wrench icon.
Select Save Track.

Note: You can also save as route depending on your need.
