Editing Data Screens on a tactix 8 Watch

The activity data screens on the tactix® 8 watch can be edited, reordered, or removed. This allows for customization of the data you see while in an activity, only seeing the data that is most important to you. The video below will walk you through one way to customize your activity data fields.

Opening the Data Screen Editing Menu

These steps guide you to the menu where edits can be made to your data screens and data fields on your watch. You can also use the Real Time Settings in the Garmin Connect App to change your activity screen options.

Hold UP/MENU (middle-left button).
Select Watch Settings.
Select Activities.
Select the activity you want to adjust.
Select (Activity) Settings.
Select Data Screens.
Scroll to the screen you wish to edit.
Press START (upper-right button) to begin editing.

You can now make changes to data screens and data fields.

Making Changes to Data Screens

Editing a Data Screen Layout

Select Layout.
Select a new layout for the data screen.
NOTE: Press BACK (lower-right button) twice to exit the menu.

Editing Data Fields

Select Data Fields.
Select a field to edit.
Select a category of data fields.
Select a data field.

Reordering a Data Screen

Select Reorder.
Press UP/MENU (middle-left button) or DOWN (lower-left button) to reorder the data screen.
Press START (upper-right button) to confirm the placement.

Removing a Data Screen

Select Remove.
Select Yes to remove.

Adding a Data Screen

Select Add New.
Select the type of data for the screen to display.
Press UP/MENU (middle-left button) or DOWN (lower-left button) to reorder the new screen.
Press START (upper-right button) to confirm the position.

Edits can now be made to the new data screen.
