Vehicle Power Cable Damaged or Not Charging a Device
If your automotive device's vehicle power cable fails to provide a charge, make sure that the issue lies in the power cord and not in your vehicle's cigarette lighter outlet. If possible, try using your 12-volt adapter in a different cigarette lighter outlet, or a different vehicle.
If you continue to have charging issues, there may be a problem with your 12-volt adapter caused by one of the following:
- Blown fuse
- The fuse inside the vehicle power cable may have stopped working. For steps to check for this, and to replace the fuse if necessary, see Replacing the Fuse in an Automotive Vehicle Power Cable.
